Forgot to mention about the email thing. The site is provided by another company called Guild Launch, which stores the email address etc. So unfortunately we don't have access to it. 

Hi Swiftsand, a real blast from the past!!.

It really warms my heart when people track us down from so long ago, when I look back I consider myself as some kind of tyrant . But it's really good to hear from you.

As Faye said we will be playing classic when it releases, won't be hard coring it and not decided the number of raid days, what we will need, or what we will do with retail at that time as it's too early to tell. 

But a common saying we tell everyone, "play what you enjoy" then you're likely to play more and stick around.

As classic is linked to your wow sub anyway, i'd recommend at least giving retail ago. It has it's fault, sure, but it's no where near as bad as people make out. Most are comparing BfA to legion, which was an awesome expansion, but is context that you wouldn't have having not played in so long.

Great to hear you will go back for classic. And I hope, as you will continue in your current WoW activities, that maybe you'll be ok with only raiding 2 nights a week.

Happy to hear what the guild might need most - tank or healer. I imagine Cap does NOT want to be a priest again!

Of course, which ever realm we go for, I will of course have a Gnome Rogue Swiftsand, but happy for this not to be my raiding character.

I am just getting ready to take my daughter to her swimming lesson but as soon as I get back I will pm you the discord information. And yes we will be playing classic, kinky will also be Back for classic. We played on a private server for quite some time until they shut it down and we really enjoyed it.

Certainly some names on there I remember, would be great to chat to everyone again! But Cap isn't Cap anymore? I don't know how I feel about that, that'll be hard to get used to! Only other person I am occasionally in touch with is Rare (again, some vanilla players may remember) but only because I was his housemate irl. I don't know if he is playing still though.

Now for the real honest bit... I'm not actually interested in playing current WoW (SHOCK!!) I am really interested in Classic next year - going through that whole grind to 60 again, the absolute slog that is getting through MC, Onxy and BWL. So ridiculous in its effort but that is what makes the payoff feel so good when you clear an instance. I am not going to hit it hard with 5 nights a week raiding, but instead see about getting together with more experienced players who are happy to take their time and raid, say, 2 nights a week. But I am already preparing to min/max my levelling (and chose something like a priest or tank so I am always in demand for a raid).

I am wondering if Wild Cards may be interested in setting up a classic 'arm'? If so, I'd love to be involved. If not, if the focus has to be on current WoW then of course that is fine, but would be cool to still chat to people I used to know. Do you discord? Or Teamspeak?

Also, I think my Swiftsand name on this forum is already tied to another email address that a can't remember. It might be the email address that my original Rogue is still tied to. Can you PM me the email address and I will try to access my old WoW account, forum account and teamspeak account?
